Moonfrost system requirements: the published minimums
The current Steam listing gives one minimum specification block for Windows. It does not name a CPU model or GPU model, and the materials checked for this guide do not include a separate recommended specification. We keep the listing’s wording rather than substituting a guessed graphics card.
| Component | Published minimum | What this does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 11 | Windows 10, Mac or Linux compatibility |
| Processor | 2 GHz | Required architecture, model or core count |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | How much RAM other open applications can use |
| Graphics | 3 GB video memory | A verified supported GPU or integrated-graphics result |
| DirectX | Version 10 | Any particular GPU/driver configuration is working |
| Storage | 2 GB available space | Future update sizes or temporary installation overhead |
System RAM and video memory are different fields. Having 8 GB of system RAM does not show that your graphics hardware has 3 GB of video memory. Shared graphics memory can be reported differently from dedicated video memory; this tool does not certify that a shared-memory configuration satisfies the game.
Compare your PC with the list
Enter your specifications—not a target frame rate. This checker compares the numbers above, uses no account and sends no data. It cannot identify your hardware automatically or test the game.
What the result means
“Meet the listed numbers” means only that your entries meet these numeric thresholds and you selected Windows 11. A newer processor with the same clock speed can perform very differently from an older one; GHz alone does not establish processor capability. The graphics listing is also too broad to predict a frame rate.
“Below the published minimum” identifies the entries that differ. It does not prove that the game can never launch. Equally, this site does not recommend buying based on an untested below-minimum configuration. Ask the developer about your specific hardware if the broad listing leaves an important uncertainty.
A DirectX version shown by Windows is not a complete description of what your graphics hardware and driver can support. Keep your hardware’s documented capabilities in mind; this checker simply compares the entered version with the published line. It is not a diagnostic utility.
Free disk space can change after you check it. The listing’s 2 GB figure is not a guarantee of all future update sizes, downloads or temporary space needs. Check the store again when installing, and leave whatever working space your system and installer actually require.
We have not measured FPS, loading time, battery life, thermal behavior or graphics presets. Pixel art does not by itself establish that any laptop or integrated GPU will run the game well.
Find the information before comparing
On Windows, the Settings app’s System → About page is a useful starting point for your Windows version, processor and installed RAM. Storage settings or File Explorer can show the available space on the drive where you intend to install the game.
For graphics details, use Windows’ display/system information or the GPU manufacturer’s own specification page to identify your adapter and memory. Windows may show dedicated and shared memory separately. If you cannot tell which applies, keep that result uncertain rather than entering a guess and treating a green result as approval.
The Windows DirectX Diagnostic Tool, commonly opened by searching for “dxdiag,” reports DirectX and display information. Its output needs interpretation alongside the actual GPU model. You do not need to upload it here; the checker does not accept files or collect a system report.
For a laptop with more than one graphics adapter, identify which adapter the game will actually use. We have not verified a model-specific switching procedure for Moonfrost. Do not assume the dedicated adapter is active just because its specification appears in a product listing.
Mac, Linux, mobile and Steam Deck
The Steam API currently marks Windows as supported and Mac/Linux as unsupported. The developer FAQ says Windows PC is the current focus and there are no current plans for a mobile version. That rules out presenting a native Mac or mobile download as an available official release.
Steam lists full controller support, but that does not equal verified Steam Deck performance. This guide has not checked a Deck compatibility badge or run the game on a handheld. We also have no tested Proton or Mac compatibility-layer instructions.
If your purchase depends on one of those environments, wait for a relevant official statement or seek evidence for your exact setup. Do not substitute the Windows numerical comparison for a platform test.
Does the game support controllers and cloud saves?
The current Steam API lists full controller support and Steam Cloud. These are store feature labels; this site has not tested a particular controller, remapping layout or cross-device save recovery.
Can this checker tell me the best graphics settings?
No. It knows only the published minimums. It has no benchmark data or access to your machine. Use current in-game options and verified guidance for your hardware when that becomes available.
